Inspired by the Foxtrot Alpha article about the Pentagon 1033 program.
I'll start things off with Madison, WI's MRAP. That's right, a city of 240,000 people that reported only 5 murders in 2013 has to have a vehicle resistant against improvised explosive devices. They're going to protect and serve the shit out of you with this bad boy.
This is what it looks like to be in traffic next to it:

Ours:
Three axles, and they didn't even bother to repaint it. Badass.

That's a big sumbitch.
Where is Douglas County, and how many people live there? Is it an area with a lot of crime, or is it like Madison or Fargo?

You think we could buy those MRAPs after the cops get done with them?

Also, apparently we have this:

Fuck no, that would be every cop's worst nightmare. Just imagine the horrors that a normal person who has not been given a badge and gun could do with a vehicle like that!
I can see it now:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
(Killdozer 1 for reference.)

Nebraska. Over half a million people, and apparently, considerable amounts of gang activity.

... why are there gangs in Nebraska? When they fight over turf, is it actually corn fields?
![]() 08/28/2014 at 23:56 |

Nope, it's Omaha. Which is an actual city.
![]() 08/28/2014 at 23:57 |

Oh, okay.
I can understand the fact that there's gang presence in Madison because it's an hour from Milwaukee and three hours from Chicago... but Omaha? I just wouldn't have thought that.

Neither would I, but I am told there is.

That's cute.

I did some digging and found that your MRAP is the same size as the one Neenah, Wisconsin has. Neenah has 25,000 people and no gang problem that I know of. It looks just like the Douglas County one (including missing turret), but it's just khaki - no decals at all.

I was thinking more about the MRAPs. But HOLY SHIT NOW I WANT THAT BULLDOZER!!

We do live in a fairly nice county. Not like the mean streets of Madison, WI.

GREAT NEWS! The Killdozer is a DIY kit - anyone can build it!

I WILL HAVE THIS ONE DAY. WITH A TURRET. AND A "DON'T TREAD ON ME, BRO" FLAG.
I think the FBI and ATF might come knocking.

Ahhh, anyone remember the good old day's, before this all got real. When militarizing the police meant this:

I may or may not have cruised around Dallas in this thing once. It was awesome:

Bearcat.
Granted it is a bigger city that has some issues that has one of these, it still seems innapropriate to have on in New Hampshire.

I doubt they have ever needed to start it.
